Many congregations have appreciated having the group conduct the service
when the pastor is unable to be in the pulpit, when the church choir is
not available, or when a special service is desired. Hands in Faith is
structured to be very flexible, can adapt for specific needs, and can
accommodate special observance.
The
group would need access to the sanctuary either one to 1 ½ hours
prior to service or have access on the preceding day. The group can provide
its own sound system and only asks to be able to insert into church bulletins
a separate donation envelope addressed to Hands in Harmony.
As
with Hands in Harmony, no sign language knowledge necessary to understand
and be inspired as the presentation is in both sound and sign.
Hands
in Faith has conducted services and/ or presented Christian based programs
in almost every church denomination throughout the Rocky Mountain area
and from Florida to California to Maine and New York, among which the
denominations have been: Baptist, Lutheran, Episcopal, LDS, Congregational,
United Church of Christ, Christian-Disciples of Christ, Presbyterian,
Wesleyan, Brethren, Catholic, Southern Baptist, Methodist, Free Methodist,
Seventh-Day Adventist, African Methodist Episcopal, Assembly of God, Creative
Ministry, Charismatic, Community Churches, Independent Christian, Mennonite,
Deaf Community, Nazarene, etc. Additionally, the group has served Church
Women United, the Christian Women’s Club, Colorado Christian Home,
